Rihanna and Lupita at Paris Fashion Week in 2014

If you thought Twitter was used strictly for memes, clapbacks, and just telling (sometimes) random strangers about your life, you are completely out of the loop.

Some would probably define Twitter as a place where users are marketers, writers, artists, investigators, and activists. Just a simple retweet and like can change someone’s life….FOREVER (lol)!

With this story, its no different. Earlier last week, Twitter user @blaquepink shared the photo of Rihanna and Lupita from Paris Fashion Week in 2014, tweeting “A picture for the history books”. Then Twitter user @1800SADGAL shared her sentiments of the picture with a fictional narrative that Twitter soon adapted to agree with 🙂

Twitter users not only hinted that this should be a plot to a movie but also added in what they felt should happen through the fictional movie.

No sooner than a few retweets, add-ins, and mentions to both Lupita and Rih-Rih, the possibility of this movie soon became a reality.

Not only did Lupita and Rih-Rih agree with the movement, Ava DuVernay and Issa Rae also agreed as they were wanted as the writer and director by Twitter users. Black-ish star Yara Shahidi even chimed in to say she’ll love to be a part of the action. Can’t you just sense the black girl magic?

Not only did Twitter make this a movie (literally), they also declared this movie as “Best Picture of 2018” (inserts praising hands emoji).IMG_2595

Well, I’m here for all of this magic. Lupita, Rihanna, Ava, AND Issa Rae.
